my inspiration: this quote that has never left me through the years…

“a little gypsy wind came down [the lane] to meet them, laden with the spicy perfume of young dew-wet ferns.  far up in the shadows a cheerful light gleamed out through the trees from the kitchen at green gables…”

it conjures up the energy of that spritely wind, the scent in the air, the warmth of the light that signals home, trees and breezes and the hint of the sea just beyond….things and thoughts and feelings that, like that little gypsy wind, come to me while i read and listen and observe. things i want to share and remember and log away for that moment when i want to but can’t quite recall where or when i heard or read about them.  so here i go…

terrifying? yes! thrilling? yes!  here, i begin my quest for a place to share and log ideas, books, quotes, links, thoughts, and anything and everything that seems to bloom and flutter through my mind.

will it speak to others?  perhaps…but i am inspired by those who have bravely gone before me.  sharing so much with sometimes so few words, but guiding me to new horizons, challenging me with this journey, and ultimately, acting as a beacon in the murky, ethereal land of blogging…showing me i will not be swallowed or mired in computer-land (although just in doing this blog creation i have already lost track of time, space, and sleep!), i can and will find things to say that are insightful, and that if nothing else, i will find a way to journal the constant stream of everything.
